6. Can you recreate a design I saw on Pinterest?
Yes! We love a good inspiration photo. Send us what you’re looking at, and we’ll discuss how we can bring it to life. We can replicate the style or tweak the design to better suit your specific space and budget.
7. Can I get a bigger discount?
Can we get a tip? ;)
8. What type of finish do you use?
Our standard is an industrial-grade conversion varnish. It’s been the benchmark for fine furniture for decades because it offers incredible protection and a "just right" sheen a luxurious, classy low-glow that isn't too shiny or too dull. Prefer an oil finish? We can do that too as a custom request for an additional cost.
9. What is Conversion Varnish?
Conversion varnish is not a traditional lacquer but a more durable, two part finish that starts as a lacquer like product but adds a hardening catalyst for superior chemical, moisture, and wear resistance, making it far tougher than standard lacquers, which typically use nitrocellulose and dry by simple solvent evaporation. While similar in application, conversion varnish cures chemically, offering a harder, less permeable film, making it a premium choice for cabinets and furniture, unlike standard lacquer.
10. Do you build commercial or office furniture?
Absolutely. We partner with business owners, designers, and architects to create everything from massive conference tables and reception desks to retail displays. If you have a brand style guide, we can match your materials and finishes perfectly to keep your space cohesive.
11. How do I care for my new furniture?
Our finish is built to last, but wood is a natural material that appreciates a little TLC:
- Spills: Wipe them up immediately. While our finish is highly resistant, no wood can withstand standing water or extreme heat indefinitely.
- Cleaning: Use a damp cloth with mild soap, followed by a dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, silicone-based polishes, and never use glass cleaner.
- Protection: Use coasters, placemats, and trivets. To prevent uneven fading from UV rays, try to keep pieces out of direct, constant sunlight.
- Environment: Wood breathes and moves. Keeping your home at a stable, moderate humidity level is the best way to prevent cracking or warping over time.
